1. The Parent Trap

The Parent Trap is a romantic comedy filled with fun, mischievous, and exciting adventure. The film was released in 1998 and became a hit instantly. It stars Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson as a divorced couple who separated shortly after the birth of their identical twin daughters. Each of them gained custody of a daughter and raised them up, respectively. Lindsay Lohan stars as both daughters and, might we say, does an excellent job! The girls are sent to the same all-girls summer camp and meet each other during a fencing activity. Upon removing their masks, they find they look identical and are shocked! After some hilarious pranks and funny mishaps, the girls start to hatch a plan to get their parents to reconcile and remarry. They each take turns training each other to take each other’s place in an effort to eventually have their parents remeet. The ending of this movie is everything! The Parent Trap will make you laugh, feel warm and cosy, and laugh some more as the twins adventure through tricking their parents to remeet and hopefully fall in love again!

2. Beauty and the Beast – Live Action

Beauty and the Beast live action is a remake of the 1991 original animated version. It was released in 2017 and stars Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. The movie begins with an old beggar woman who knocks on the door to the prince’s castle while he is hosting a ball. She begs for shelter in exchange for a rose, and he scoffs and turns her away. The woman then reveals herself as a goddess and casts a spell on the prince and all the members of his castle. The prince becomes a beast, and the members of his castle become ordinary household objects. In order to break the curse, the beast must learn to love someone and have that person love him back before the last petal of the rose falls. If he doesn’t do that, he will remain a beast forever, and his castle members will remain household objects. The movie tells a story of true love with enchanting songs, magical features, and more. It will encapsulate you as you follow the story of a village girl and a beast.

3. Aladdin
